Christie Brown
Christie Brown is a contemporary luxury fashion house from Ghana, that weaves African heritage and craftsmanship into sophisticated and elevated global design. Founded in 2008, the brand was born out of a deep desire to tell a new story—one where heritage and innovation merge seamlessly to create a wardrobe for the modern woman who moves through the world with confidence, purpose, and grace.
Yuma-Labs
Yuma Labs drives the circular economy in fashion by crafting top-notch eyewear from low-impact materials, designed for endless recycling. They challenge themselves and their partners to create iconic products sparking conversations about waste in society. In essence, Yuma Labs offers a unique perspective through sunglasses on the role of waste in our environment.
Bio-based frame
Your frame is crafted from M49 bio-acetate from Mazzuchelli. M49 comes from natural wood fibers, cotton seeds, and wood pulp. In fact, M49 is made of cellulose acetate and a plasticiser of vegetable origin. This material has the same look, feel, and performance as conventional acetate.
Durable lenses
Your lenses are made from CR-39 material with 100% UVA/UVB protection. CR39 lenses boast excellent durability and scratch resistance, making them a sustainable choice for sunglasses. Their robust nature means a longer lifespan, reducing the need for frequent replacements and minimising waste.
CO2-neutral transport
Your sunglasses have been shipped with CO2-neutral shipping.
Forever recyclable
Because of the molecular recycling technique that is used there is no reduction in material quality and color clarity. This means that if we recycle the material, we can always make the same material again without ever losing its quality.
Your sunglasses are made in an independently owned eyewear factory in the northern part of Italy. The factory takes care of the land and the planet because all the energy that they use in their offices and production facilities comes 100% from renewable energy produced in a wind farm in Sicily. Next to that, they have all the certifications they need to produce sunglasses from bio-based materials.
Your sunglasses are quality-controlled and packaged by a social workplace in Belgium.
